Freak Show

A typical show will involve some, and occasionally all of the stunts listed below (scroll down),depending on the length of show required. While we have standard set lists for shows, we can easily adapt the content to fit your audience perfectly, whether they be businessmen and women at a corporate function, families at a street festival, or hundreds of crazy clubbers at a nightclub show. Whatever the event,we have something for you. With solo performances of up to 40 minutes, right through to two man shows of up to one and a half hours.

The Freakshow is grown-up circus, with performers pushing their own limits further than you thought possible. The shows are easily described in three words, deadly, dangerous and hilarious. They include some VERY difficult stunts and circus skills, all of which are seen only rarely anywhere in the world. And some of which are performed by us alone.

While pretty much everything we do on stage is completely insane, we are professional performers who have long lasting and healthy careers. We are trained and highly skilled and put every safeguard in place to keep us from getting injured. Anyone else trying what we do would end up in hospital, period. Do not attempt to copy anything in our shows! Skills, experience and qualification biographies available on request.

The Freakshow performers can also perform as mix and mingle entertainers. Fire skills can also be removed from the program if your venue is not suitable.

STUNTS

Sword swallowing: Stuffing various swords, scissors, coat hangers, hammer handles and other assorted objects down the throat and into the stomach

Human blockhead: Long nails, screwdrivers and ice picks are hammered deep into the head via the nose. Not enough? How about drilling into the head with an electric drill running at full speed!

The human beer straw: A tube is fed through the nose, down the throat, then back up and out of the mouth. Allowing the performer and brave audience members to drink there choice of beverage straight through a human head. This is an enormously popular stunt.

Thread from stomach: A long piece of strong thread is swallowed, then a small hole is cut in the body, and the thread is pulled straight out of the stomach! Incredible as this stunt is we will soon be premiering a completely new version which has never been performed before.

Glass eating: A 100 watt lightbulb is carefully broken, and then eaten right in front of the audience.

The Groin smash: A concrete block is placed on the unprotected groin of the performer, then smashed to bits with a sledgehammer!

Bed of nails: David lies on a bed of razor sharp nails and has a concrete block placed on his chest and smashed with a sledgehammer. A spectacular example of pain resistance and skin conditioning.

Razor blade eating: The sharp blades are swallowed and regurgitated.

Gruesome!Bed of broken glass: Walking barefoot on the shattered pieces is just the start. This stunt also includes jumping on it, and performing hand stands and head stands. Just to make it even more spectacular David finishes by selecting the largest member of the audience and allowing him or her to stand on him while he lies bare backed on the razor sharp glass. David's personal record is a 25 stone (160 Kg) man.

Human pincushion: Martin Cole is the human pincushion. This marvel of modern science gets his kicks from shoving needles, hatpins and other sharp things through the flesh of his arms, face and more.

Human Dartboard: This act sees Martin receiving as many as ten sharp darts in the back and body.

The worlds most disgusting balloon animal: I can't even begin to describe this one.

Stapling: As if sticking multiple needles through previously unpierced body parts, and having darts thrown into the body isn't enough, this stunt uses an industrial stapler to attach photographs, slogans, flyers and cash to the body and head.

The leap of faith: A barefooted David jumps from a chair, table, or even step ladders onto a pile of freshly broken glass.

Fire eating: Placing one or two flaming torches in the mouth and 'swallowing' the flame. Or just holding a torch in the mouth while the flame laps around the lips.

Body burning: Drawing a flame along the bare skin of the arms and chest. Another example of pain resistance and skin conditioning.
